The duration of a hair removal session depends on the area being treated. A small area like the underarms can take around 15 minutes, while a medium area like the bikini can take up to 30 mins.
Most clients schedule waxing every 3–6 weeks, depending on hair growth rate and the area being waxed. Regular waxing can lead to finer, sparser hair over time.
Some discomfort is normal, especially in sensitive areas, but most clients report that the pain is brief and tolerable. Using pre-appointment exfoliation and taking ibuprofen up to 800mg 45 mins prior to the appointment will ease the pain.
Hair should be at least ¼ inch (approximately 6 mm) long to allow the wax to grip effectively. If hair is shorter, the wax may not remove it properly. Our recommendation is 1/2 inch for proper results the first session.
Certain medications (like retinoids, tretinoin, adapalene, some acne treatments, antibiotics or blood thinners) can increase skin sensitivity. Avoid them at all costs. Inform your technician before waxing to ensure safety.
Absolutely! Wear a fresh tampon or period cup prior to your wax, and let the technician take care of the rest. However, some clients may experience increased sensitivity or discomfort during menstruation. Adjusting timing to your cycle can make waxing more comfortable.
Results typically last 3–6 weeks, depending on your hair growth. Regular waxing often leads to slower, finer regrowth over time resulting in 8-10 weeks.
Waxing removes hair from the root, leaving skin smooth longer than shaving. It can also reduce hair thickness and density over time, while shaving only cuts hair at the surface.
